The administration of Darker Realms recognizes that players have a right to expect privacy on a mud. However, sometimes an administrative wizard may snoop on you (that is, see what is appearing on your screen as you play the mud) without asking you to use the allowsnoop command, and without notifying you of the fact that they are doing so. This will only be done in exceptional circumstances, such as a major game-threatening bug or to confirm a strong suspicion that you are breaking game rules (for example, by harassing another player). If you have reason to believe that an administrative wizard is snooping you without good cause, feel free to ask an Elder wizard to investigate this. The administration of Darker Realms will not under any circumstances tolerate gratuitous invasion of player privacy. Please also note a general rule: There is no privacy on the Internet, unless you use strong encryption. Your connection to the mud is not encrypted, and it is possible (though unlikely) that someone entirely unconnected with the mud could by spying on what you type and see on your screen.
